Fort McMurray Minor Baseball (FMMBA) is excited to announce an upcoming Hitting & Fielding Camp featuring guest instructor Coach José Omar Rosado.
Coach Rosado is a native of La Plata, Aibonito, Puerto Rico, with a strong background as a player, coach, and baseball executive. He played collegiate baseball at Muscatine Community College (Iowa) and represented Puerto Rico at the Palomino League World Series, where his team captured a World Championship. His coaching experience includes time at Wabash Valley College and Sterling College in Kansas.
In Puerto Rico’s AA baseball system, Coach Rosado has served as a General Manager, coach, and manager, earning back-to-back Sub-23 Manager of the Year honors. He is also the founder of Best In PR Showcase, an organization dedicated to player development and helping student-athletes earn college opportunities at the NCAA, NAIA, and NJCAA levels.
Coach Omar will also be joining the Fort McMurray Giants Coaching Staff for the 2026 season.
This camp is a great opportunity for players to sharpen their hitting and fielding fundamentals while learning from an experienced international coach.
