VOLUNTEER INFORMATION/EXPECTATIONS

Rules of Volunteering

  • For every child registered there is an expected Volunteer commitment of at least 5 hours. There are a variety of volunteer options to sign up and each position is described below.
  • FMMBA requires the help of many people to make each season successful. However, it also recognizes that people are unable or unwilling to volunteer their time and in these situations the Volunteer commitment cheques will be cashed to help offset the costs of running the baseball program.
  • If you sign up for a position and cannot make it, you can send a friend or relative to fill in for you. Ensure you or the person working signs the volunteer book and indicate your child's name and division level so you will get credit for the time.
  • Cancellation: If there is no way you can fulfill a position you committed to please cancel 1 week in advance so someone else has a chance to fill the spot.
  • Volunteer Commitments for Concession, Park Clean Up, Casino, End of Year Banquet, and Special Events will be available on sign up genius click here as they become available.
  • There will be a sign up at Ron Morgan for anyone completing volunteer hours there (canteen or park clean up).  It will be your responsibility to sign in.
  • The 5 hour requirement does not apply to coaching (or assistant coaching).  Those positions are season long.   There may be times that teams are short coaches or assistant coaches, it is an expectation of parents to help from time to time.  In these instances, hours helped on the field will not count as volunteer hours.
  • Volunteer levies ($300 per child) can be done 2 ways:
  • Pay online at registration, money will be returned at the end of the season.
  • Postdated cheques or Credit Card imprints can be left with FMMBA, they will be destroyed or returned upon completion of volunteer commitment.
  • Please click this link to direct you to the sign up genius to sign up for your volunteer commitment (Please note we are continually adding more time slots so don't be alarmed if they fill up fast) -

If you have questions or comments about your volunteer commitment please send these to inquiries@fmmba.ca.
